Hello, I am Joanney Uthe, an author with a deep love for storytelling, family, and faith. A devoted Christian, mother, and caregiver, I share my home with my sister and my beloved dog, Jacques. My passion for books and writing has been a lifelong journey that began in childhood.
My love for reading began at an early age, consuming any book I could find. By third grade, I was writing poetry, and later wrote for my high school newspaper, with one poem recognized as one of the “Best of Iowa High School Newspapers.”
As a mother, I cherished reading to my two sons, exploring my favorite childhood books, discovering new ones together, and creating new stories.
My growth as a writer flourished through years of participation in FaithWriters.com’s weekly Writing Challenge, where I penned devotionals and short stories. A shorter version of “It Is Impossible” was originally written for this challenge under the topic “Impossible.”
My experience working in elementary education further deepened my love for children’s literature. Helping students become better readers reinforced my belief in the need for high-quality children’s books with affirmative, inspiring messages.
I considers my writing a God-given talent and am committed to using it to inspire and uplift readers, bringing glory to God in all I create, whether within or outside of the Christian genre.
